About

Alan Sobba operates Sobba Public, LLC a consulting firm, providing strategic advice on public policy, public affairs and media. Alan has experience working with all levels of policy and decision makers and regulators on behalf of a variety of clients including financial services, energy, agriculture, sports and various technology companies.

In addition to advocacy, Alan also serves as an advisor, investor and executive to several early stage companies who utilize technology and unique skill sets to create value across finance and other sectors. Those companies include DECO, BreakingT, B23, Next Level Derivatives and more. In addition, Alan recently joined the Universal DeFi Holding Company (UDHC) as public policy lead to educate policy makers and financial industry leaders generally on the role and merits of decentralized finance.

Previously, Alan served as Director of External Affairs for the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) responsible for the coordination of all CFTC activities with the Congress, the White House and other governmental entities such as the Treasury Department, the Security and Exchange Commission, the Federal Reserve and the news media. More recently, Alan served as Chief Policy and Communications officer for the International Derivatives Clearing Group (IDCG) and CEO of Green and Grow an ag bio tech company.

Prior to these roles, Alan was Director of Government Relations office for the Commissioner of Baseball and worked for the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association after completing college.

Alan received his undergraduate degree from Kansas State University, an MBA degree from Arizona State University, and his law degree from the University of Kansas. He, his wife Listi and their four children reside in Arlington, Virginia. He also operates a corn, soybean and cattle operation in Kansas.
