Los Angeles, January 08, 2022 - The Lydion Magazine publicly launched in January 2022 to its audience of over 20,000 readers who are curious about how the combined power of distributed computing and digital assets are tackling the world’s “Big Problems.” With each edition of The Lydion Magazine, published by The Data Economics Company (DECO), a diverse group of editors, guest editors, and contributing authors seek to illuminate how distributed computing technologies, including the scope of Web3, digital assets, and blockchain tech, can contribute to new opportunities for social enterprise, businesses, and individuals.
Turning Earth into Gold, the first edition of the magazine to welcome guest editors, explores how data economics and Web3 technologies are empowering smallholder farmers around the world to embrace regenerative and sustainable agricultural practices. The edition’s pieces distinctly show how the incorporation of these new technologies helps farmers benefit financially and opens up new markets for their agricultural products to global clothing and consumer brands. Turning Earth into Gold features guest editors with expertise in agriculture, regenerative farming practices, and agtech from organizations including the Smallholder Farmers Alliance, Smallholder Data Services, and TerraGenesis, Inc.
Following a successful launch, The Lydion Magazine has brought on noted editor, author, and playwright Lucy Gillespie as its Managing Editor. “Data is the new literacy, and stories have the power to change the world. By sharing stories from the front lines of emerging data tech, Lydion is igniting the collective imagination with the transformative power and potential of data,” said Lucy.
“At DECO, we are fortunate to partner with world-leading experts in their respective sectors and understand the opportunities and challenges in their industry that can be addressed with decentralized systems and real-world data-backed digital assets and products as the vision of Web3 becomes a reality,” said Arka Ray, Managing Director of The Data Economics Company. “The Lydion Magazine gives an unfiltered voice to partners such as Smallholder Data Services educate us about these opportunities and gives DECO a platform to showcase not just the impact that its partners are creating through Lydion-based products, but also the work of thought leaders across all aspects of Data Economics and Web3.”
